WHA CLASS OPEN WAGON

There were 200 of these wagons in service, running numbers 29500-29699. These wagons were originally built for the transport of bulk grain and were fitted with tarpaulin supports. There were many wagons reclassified, such as, WHAF when used for fertiliser (using HOF tarpaulin rails), WHAS for general goods, WHAF reclassified as WHATF when fitted with transition couplers, WHAT for bulk wheat, WHATS (S for dirty) when they cannot be cleaned, and are used for general goods.
